Been AFK..

Sorry about that everyone been crazy busy..and now..we are headed on Vacation for a few days.
I might be able to post from hotels..And certainlly going to be looking for Bead Shops while we are out.  I promise some new things when I get back.

The Last 2 Pictures

Well I am down to the last two pictures, you got a preview of these when I introduced Henry and Henretta,  but here they are  standing alone...

    Once again, it is out of one of the beading magazines but...I can't remember which one... I promise from now on I will make sure I make a note on that..and when I find the mags..I will post them in each post..

Same reason I can't tell you where..I don't remember...the earrings I did but just making another triangle and then making a smaller triangle  I need to have him take a pic of just the earrings.

The big button is the clasp..I hope you enjoy my bead work as much as I enjoy creating it.
   

What Happened??

How did it get all the way to Sunday and I didn't post. Well I was planning for my father-in-laws and husbands combined Birthday Dinner. Ok all I had to do was make calls and reserve a place at the resteraunt..but it sounded like a good excuse. I was beading and lost track of time. That is the real reason. I was trying my hand at some different things. I need to get hubby to take some more pics for me today. So I can show you at least part of what I was up to.
But until then, Let me show you more of what he took before.

Ok once again, I was working out of Bead and Button or  Beadworks ..can't remember. I need to start leaving myself Post It notes on this stuff... This set, if the bracelet fits is going to Gary's beautiful daughter Sabrena. She has such a tiny wrist.

As you can see I got carried away with this design. I had to make 3 of them and still want to do more. So when I find the pattern I promise to tell you where it is. I do love it..I made all 3 of these in one day. So it really does work up quickly.

Ok only a few more of the last patch of pics ..so I have to get him busy..don't I.

More Earrings..I do love earrings...

Well I am coming to the end of all those pictures Gary took for me of some of my recent work..
So I thought I would pull out the Earrings I did. I used a pattern from an older Bead and Button, and I can't remember which one.. it doesn't help when you have almost ever B&B ever printed..

I have to admit I got carried away I can't even remember how many sets of these I made . He didn't take pics of all of them.  Ok here is another one..Oh yeah if you click on the pics in my  blog anywhere they will enlarge for you.

How about some bronze beads with some firey red to orange fire polish beads..

Well like I said I did a lot and these sure aren't all of them..but they are an example of what I was up to.

IT IS FINISHED!!!!!

A few weeks ago I decided that I wanted my beads more accessable. So I pulled them all out of storage,dumped all the shoe boxes in the middle of my living room floor and started sorting 18 years worth of purchasing beads. It is funny too think it all started because a friend asked me to work in her bead store in Sarasota, Fl.  I remember saying, "But I don't know anything about Beading." She didn't care she needed someone that understood retail. So there I was working in a bead shop. Now I did have a small stash of beads at home. It was a real shoe box that a pair of shoes came in. It had 2 bags of beads I had gotten in a craft shop and a 2 beading needles a friend had given me. She tried to teach me to square stitch. I thought that was the only way to bead and I lost interest quickly. Boy was I in for a shock. It wasn't long before the beauty of the beads became enticing to me. Then the next Bead & Button came in, and I just had to try a pattern out of it. Before long.. I owed more to my boss/friend at each pay check than I was making. I  began to learn every stitch I could. And now here I am almost 18 years later, the old shoe box is long gone. Acturally many storage ideas bit the dust.

My final thing to get rid of was tiny zip lock bags. I was tired of them drying out and splitting and spilling my beads everywhere. Well just so you have an Idea of what I was tackling let me show you just a few days after I started to work.....

and this wasn't all of it.. there where stacks of clear plastic shoe boxes full of beads.

Each box was cleaned out and the beads where put into containers.

And now lots and lots of hours and tired muscles , a husband that wasn't sure I could possiable find space for all of them ..here is the end results..

the tall cabinet is full above and behind that door ..and the other piece with all the drawers is full of tubes of beads ..not seed beads..

the seed beads are in the black drawer thing behind my chair  in the other picture.I can't even get one more tube of beads in any of those drawers...The two colorfull drawers are full of crystals..the stash above the drawer is pearls. I must say I said something about bead shopping to my husband just to see what he would do..the look on his face was...YOUR KIDDING >>RIGHT>? I just smiled and went back to sorting beads..

But It is done. I am relaxing now...planning my next thing to make..but now. I know just where to find everything I need...

Ok one more pic just so I can introduce my favorite salt and pepper shaker set..Henry and his lovely mate Henretta... they are standing guard over a couple of bracelets I made.
